The Space

Ferghan Mhor is private, spacious and comfortable. It's a peaceful place.

£95 / two guests
Continental Breakfast 2 - 4 night stays

Ferghan Mhor was built in the late 1800s; right on the sea front. You can hear the sea from your room or whilst chilling in the lounge. The large private bathroom looks on to a large, over grown rock face that occasionally turns into a mini waterfall.

About The Space

The space is designed for two people, but can accommodate a third guest (see Extra Guests).

Your lounge (new in 2020) has a comfortable seating area, a small dining area for breakfast (with sea views) and a fridge, toaster and kettle.

The double bedroom is very comfortable and includes black-out blinds, storage space and binoculars for seal spotting!

The bathroom is a beautiful space with original floorboards, plenty of space for pampering and a look-out to a rock face, overgrown with vegetation and occasionally, a mini waterfall.

There is also a single room available with sky-light should you book an extra guest.

Extra Guests

The space can accommodate three people spread across a double room and a single room. There is a surcharge of £25 for the single room. We need to know at the time of booking how many guests are staying.

Children and Dogs

Unfortunately, at this time we’re not accepting children under 16 or dogs. However, if you do have a child or dogs and are looking for vegan or vegetarian options on the island, then let us know, as we might be able to help.

Please note that we have a dog.

We've got you covered on most things. If you're unsure about anything, please just contact us.

Need to check your email? Or perhaps tell the world you're at Ferghan Mhor - we have Wifi throughout.

Sea Views

Your lounge and bedroom come with sea views. You might spot some seals, a pod of dolphins or if you are really lucky George Clooney on his yacht 🙂

Parking and Transport

There is enough space for one car. There is also a bus stop two mins walk away from the house that connects to the ferry.

Did we mention we have a patio in the garden? Feel free to use the patio and enjoy the sea views and tranquility of the tide coming in and out.

Continental Breakfast

We offer a continental breakfast served in your private lounge. This includes homemade cereals, local bread and fruit bowl.

Tea, Coffee and Plant-based Milk

Your room has a mini-fridge, so we provide good coffee, a selection of teas and plant-based milk.

Private Bathroom

We have a large bathroom that is for you and you only.

Private Lounge

The private lounge (plus small dining area) looks out to sea and includes a kettle, toaster and mini-fridge

Towels and Toiletries

Towels are included, so leave yours at home. Plus shampoo and soap are provided - cruelty-free of course!

Double and Single Room

The space comes with a lovely double room plus a single room too if two pals or an extra guest is staying.

You wont get stuck at Ferghan Mhor with wet hair - unless it rains. Hairdryers are included in each room. You can use our ironing board too.

Your stuff is safe. There are locks on the rooms, so you don't need to worry.

We're not perfect. So here are some things we don't have or can't cater for.

Unfortunately, we're not set up or able to host and cater for children under 16. We hope you understand. We can put you in touch with other B&Bs on Arran who do.

Just like children, we're not able to host or cater for dogs. We have a dog too, so it's impossible to know if the dogs will mix well. Sorry.

Cooked Breakfast

At the moment, we are not doing a cooked breakfast due to Covid-19 restrictions. Sorry!

Cooking Facilities

Please be aware that there is no kitchen or cooking facilities available. We also ask that you don't bring any cooking facilities with you.

One night stays

Partly down to extra Covid cleaning requirements, we are not offering one night stays.

Long stays

We want to be a perfect short-break place to stay, so we don't over any stays over four nights.

"I would recommend staying here to anyone! Beautiful rooms, helpful and lovely hosts and amazing breakfasts!"
