Ferghan Mhor is a beautiful house, perfectly located next to the sea and in front of Arran's mountains.

You can get anywhere in the world from Ferghan Mhor, but we’d like to welcome the world to us. Come and stay. Enjoy the garden, pick some veggies from the veggie plot, walk down on to the beach, chill. Or go walking, hiking, biking, golfing. All from our doorstep.

About The House

Ferghan Mhor is set in a beautiful location looking to the mainland of Scotland from the east coast of the Isle of Arran. The mountains of Arran – Goatfell et al – are right behind us. You can see Sannox beach from your room. And Brodick – where the ferry gets in – is only six miles away. It’s on the Arran Coastal Path too.

The garden is beautiful and includes a picture perfect driveway with plants and trees either side. Being all vegan, we have a vegetable plot with all sorts of things growing from an over excited mint plant to newly planted asparagus that’s in year two of its three year growing process!

Ferghan Mhor is a calm and peaceful place to come. We only let out two rooms to keep things small. They are bright, private and include a seating area. Both rooms share a bathroom and have incredible views to the sea – which you can even hear from your room! When it’s sunny you can sit down at the bottom of the garden and enjoy seeing the birds and do a bit of seal spotting.

No B&B is without WiFi of course, so we’ve got you covered on that. Plus there is parking. There is a mini-fridge in each room and a hairdryer. And if you need to use an iron, then no worries.

It’s a perfect place to explore Arran from whether you are walking, cycling, hiking, running, touring or even golfing (Corrie Golf Club is 5 mins away).

100% Vegan

We only serve vegan food and provide vegan products. No meat. No dairy. No animal testing.

We do homemade vegan breakfasts. If you fancy a treat, our Scotch pancakes is what to order. If you fancy something to set you up for the day, the full Scottish breakfast including vegan haggis is for you. If you fancy eating light, we’ve a selection of breakfast foods that will satisfy you. Everything is vegan. We cook homemade and source locally where possible.

Please do let us know if you have a food allergy then. We have nuts in the kitchen (kept in containers) and cook with products that have gluten, but we are more than happy to consider different dietary requirements. Just let us know. You can also view our list of ingredients.

Children and Dogs

Unfortunately, at this time we’re not accepting children under 16 or dogs. However, if you do have a child or dogs and are looking for vegan or vegetarian options on the island, then let us know, as we might be able to help.

We've got you covered on most things. If you're unsure about anything, please just contact us.

Parking and Transport

There is enough space for one car per room. There is also a bus stop two mins walk away from the house that connects to the ferry.

Sea Views

We rent out two double rooms. Both have sea views. You might spot some seals, a pod of dolphins or if you are really lucky George Clooney on his yacht 🙂

Need to check your email? Or perhaps tell the world you're at Ferghan Mhor - we've Wifi throughout.

Tea, Coffee and Plant-based Milk

Your room has a mini-fridge, so we provide good coffee, a selection of teas and plant-based milk.

Shared Bathroom

We have a large bathroom that is shared with the other double room.

You wont get stuck at Ferghan Mhor with wet hair - unless it rains. Hairdryers are included in each room. You can use our ironing board too.

Towels and Toiletries

Towels are included, so leave yours at home. Plus shampoo and soap are provide - cruelty-free of course!

Your stuff is safe. There are locks on the rooms, so you don't need to worry.

In the summer we set up the dining area in the conservatory. When it's a bit chillier, then you dine in our dining room beside a woodburner.

Did we mention we have a garden? Feel free to sit in the garden and in enjoy the sea views and tranquility of the tide coming in and out.

We're not perfect. So here are some things we don't have or can't cater for.

Guest Lounge

There isn't a shared area for guests outside the dining areas. The rooms are large however and we've added comfortable seating areas to the rooms - with sea views of course!

Unfortunately, we're not set up or able to host and cater for children under 16. We hope you understand. We can put you in touch with other B&Bs on Arran who do.

Just like children, we're not able to host or cater for dogs. We plan to get a dog ourselves, so need to suss that out first. Sorry.
