About The House
Ferghan Mhor is set in a beautiful location looking to the mainland of Scotland from the east coast of the Isle of Arran. The mountains of Arran – Goatfell et al – are right behind us. You can see Sannox beach from your room. And Brodick – where the ferry gets in – is only six miles away. It’s on the Arran Coastal Path too.
The garden is beautiful and includes a picture perfect driveway with plants and trees either side. Being all vegan, we have a vegetable plot with all sorts of things growing from an over excited mint plant to newly planted asparagus that’s in year two of its three year growing process!
Ferghan Mhor is a calm and peaceful place to come. We only let out two rooms to keep things small. They are bright, private and include a seating area. Both rooms share a bathroom and have incredible views to the sea – which you can even hear from your room! When it’s sunny you can sit down at the bottom of the garden and enjoy seeing the birds and do a bit of seal spotting.
No B&B is without WiFi of course, so we’ve got you covered on that. Plus there is parking. There is a mini-fridge in each room and a hairdryer. And if you need to use an iron, then no worries.
It’s a perfect place to explore Arran from whether you are walking, cycling, hiking, running, touring or even golfing (Corrie Golf Club is 5 mins away).
We only serve vegan food and provide vegan products. No meat. No dairy. No animal testing.
We do homemade vegan breakfasts. If you fancy a treat, our Scotch pancakes is what to order. If you fancy something to set you up for the day, the full Scottish breakfast including vegan haggis is for you. If you fancy eating light, we’ve a selection of breakfast foods that will satisfy you. Everything is vegan. We cook homemade and source locally where possible.
Please do let us know if you have a food allergy then. We have nuts in the kitchen (kept in containers) and cook with products that have gluten, but we are more than happy to consider different dietary requirements. Just let us know. You can also view our list of ingredients.
Children and Dogs
Unfortunately, at this time we’re not accepting children under 16 or dogs. However, if you do have a child or dogs and are looking for vegan or vegetarian options on the island, then let us know, as we might be able to help.
